Haile Family Tree

Hello!

I am in the process of creating a "tree" style template page to add each section of lineage to as we go along or for anyone to also create their own section of the tree easily as a page template. I will let you know when it is complete :)

Feel free to add pages and begin the information loading onto the site :) We will begin ourselves very shortly :)

Wallace and Stephanie Haile

We recently created a MyHeritage site as well (work in progress :)

Here is some of the information that was sent to us by Steven C. Haile of Las Vegas:

Your Hertfordshire, England to America HALE line goes like this:

1335-1395 Nichoals Hales of Hale's Place Holden
1360-1420 Nicholas Hales Jr (bro. was Robert, Lord High Teasurer)
1405-1460 Thomas Hales
1435-1495 Henry Hales
1465-1525 Gilbert Hales
1490-1550 Edward Hales
1515-1575 Thomas Hale of Codicote
1536-1620 Richard Hale
1560-1630 William Hale of Hertford
1601-1660 Geroge Hale (the Immigrant, 1621)
1628-1677 Nicholas Hale I (The American)
1656-1730 Nicholas Hale II
1702-1760 Nicholas Hale III
1724-1807 Nicholas Hale IV
1764-1813 Joshua Thomas Hale/Haile (died in War of 1812)
1793-1867 Amon Hale/Haile (m. Lockney Brown)
Then onto Joshua P on Benton's side; and Dudley on Bessie's side.

I am going to try to model this site around this design and add pages (and subpages) based on this table of contents. It is just a guideline really, not a set in stone rule, so feel free to get going with ideas of your own :)

Friends,

Do any of you know of any rpublished source which shows that George Haile who came to Virginia 1/21/1621 in the ship Supply as a 13 year old indentured servant is the same as George Hale (b. 7/30/1601 in England), son of William Hale (d. 8/1634) Mayor of London (1588), Sheriff of Hertfordshire (1628) and Rose Bond, daughter of Sir George Bond?

I will appreciate any help in resolving this.

Do you find this valuable?

Information concerning the Hales, Hailes, connected to the line of decent you have provided here is scattered throughout the internet. Owing to the sheer numbers people working on this project the growth and accuracy of the body has been increasing almost exponentially. It is perhaps more visible to me since I have not looked into it for a number of years. However, although people are doing very good work there is a need for more consolidation and networking. People talk about getting original document but if these have been posted I have not found them. There is a link to Harvard which lists much about the Kings Walden manor of the patriarchs. BTW I think I am going to show up some time and demand a room. Even if we did sell it to them we deserve that much. I would like to look around and see if they have been taking care of the place. I am not a scholar by any means. My uncle was but I do not know what he found out. He knows all of it now however, having passed on. BTW my particular branch diverged after Nicholas II. We had the good fortune to be related through Thomas Haile to the Chenoweth family who has of the most extensive data bases anywhere. We are related to them in a number of ways. Thomas himself married his first cousin. I am glad we left the gene pool when we did. Seriously though we know a lot of the family who are still in Washington County TN and could provide some information, if necessary. I also am interested in geneology in another way. I am a therapist and always construct genograms when I meet clients. Genograms are genealogies which map out family rules, roles and relationship patterns. I have done my own research using data gathered from people who are still living and through them those who are deceased. These patterns are transmitted through generations. Just how far back this goes is a matter of speculation. It wold be an interesting matter to study. The key to the present might be the past, far more than we realize, TC Roger P. Hale
